What is more important to master as a affiliate markerter XML or SQL and why?

Not sure why you would need SQL but if you understand XML then you can take advantage of RSS feeds. I think figuring out XML would be better, if I am understanding your Q correctly.

As an affiliate marketer you don't need to master any of them. But some general knowledge on both would help

There's nothing to master about XML, it's just XML, only some basic principles there. You probably don't have to know about DTD or xml schema's, i wouldn't recommend that for you. The strength about XML is the applications it has (RSS, Deployment Descriptors, B2B communication, etc.)

About SQL, it isn't that difficult either. Some basic knowledge will be enough for a marketeer. Depends on the situation.

However, it ain't difficult to understand XML and SQL and it won't take a long time to have a basic knowledge. So i wouldn't bother and ask in a forum and just read some articles, better use of the time imho.
