Where can i find real SEO professional?
Hi there,
Several weeks ago i hired so called "SEO expert" from famous freelancer's resource. His SEO/SEM plan was really attractive, but what he really did was awful! I spent good amount of money in vain. |

hmmm... sounds like an oxymoron? A so-called Freelance SEO Expert that costs a good amount of money? How much was that? You get what you pay for... people go to so-called Freelance SEO Expert because they're "CHEAP" not because they're worth the investment. I would try new_seo, pro_seo, Europa, or seomaverick but before you do - expect to be on the good money scale somewhere between $1000/month to $2000/month

I just was wondering what this "expert" have done for you? Sometimes few weeks is not that much of time to make big conclusions... If the plan was right, what went wrong with execution? |

Actually, since you got duped once, take a SEO Training course or read the intro stuff here, arm yourself, reload, and find the right person for your job.

You would not spell the keywords correctly (decreasing my traffic) and make my site sound like idiots wrote the content.

If you can learn a bit about SEO yourself that is definitely going to help you in selecting someone suitable for the job. Also, it is important you ask the prospective candidate to share their portfolio with you so that you can see what type of results they have got before and try doing a few reference check as well.
Freelancers or even so called "SEO companies" who offer you "SEO Packages" hardly ever do a good job because SEO is something that is almost impossible to package in quantifiable terms like "20 links, 100 directory submission and 5 pages of content". A true SEO would rather give you a strategy and work plan rather than giving you a so called "SEO plan". And yes, good SEOs who are worth their salt ( even if they are freelancers) are never cheap. I hope you find someone good to help you this time.

While I cut my teeth and built a portfolio for future job interviews on freelancer sites, the sad truth is the vast majority are far from pro's. They have a very basic knowledge and that is the reason they find their prey using such sites.

Hi, SEO is a long term Activity .. Maybe you have not given him enough time? ... Weeks doesn't sound much of a time . When doing SEO don't be in a hurry ..... My guess would be you are being impatient here. Last edited by SwordFish_13 : January 5th, 2009 at 01:07 AM. |
