It's my fist post here!

About issue,

I would like personally recommend http://www.hq-host.com/ Their prices are very affordable and you receive the perfect 24/7 online tech support. Also you will get month free trial (absolutely free, not like others taking CC number for this). Our sites and sites of many my clients are hosted with them and they are all satisfied with their services.

Hi,

We are currently using hosts all over the place. A lot of our sites are hosted in the United States. When possible we prefer to rent dedicated servers.

Are dedicated hosts a pain to set up and manage? I've always imagined they would take a lot of work.

I've messed up a bit with my new hosting. I misread the bandwidth as 10Gb per month. It's actually 3Gb. That's pretty poor. I might struggle a bit with that. Oops.

I've used Hostway for a while. Very reliable, not as cheap as the others, then again, you sometimes get what you pay for.

I use PHP4Hosting and I couldn't praise them enough. Other than a small set up problem they have been absolutely fantastic. I've got an offline business and use phpBB 2.0.6 solely for members off my offline business. I've had several hack attempts, one which I have actually taken legal action with, my host provided me with hack reports, documentation of conversations between themselves and the hacker and themselves and the hackers ISP. They even proved what tool was used to attempt the hack and where it originated from! Their actions provided me with everything I needed to place before the courts to take action

I have few members but it is a very active board. I use about 40 Gb a month, I can't remember how much it costs offhand but I remember thinking it was reasonable.

The site has been down a couple of times in the last six months but as soon as I emailed the address given to me (no matter what time of day or night) the problem was sorted within 30 minutes.

Jane
