What does a Typical SEO plan Look Like by Professionals?
I'm an avid SEO professional and I'm curious what you present to your clients in the proposal. I break down the proposal into 3 basic categories:
Link Building: Content Building: Articles: Within those 3 categories I explain to them our goals as to how many links, quality of relevance, etc. For the content, I spend the least amount of time on this, because I truely believe this is the least important, but I will spend some time here just to cover x,y,z. As for articles, I try to get the client to write 2-3 articles pertaining to the keywords they are targeting and I submit them to the various directories with the URL at the bottom of the article. Am I missing anything? I have been pretty successful in doing this for most of my clients. I would like to see someones actual proposal if they didn't mind... Thanks, Mike |

Maybe include some Key Performance Indicators that can be used by the client to gauge the effectiveness of the campaign. Things such as number of pages indexed, visible backlinks, PageRank etc. This can be especially useful for the client to track results in the early stages of a campaign when noticeable results on SERPs haven't always kicked in.

Most of what I have done is on a freelance basis and I have just written a proposal outlining what I am doing and what I am charging for it.
I am imminantly starting a professional web design and online marketing company with SEO being a major service we offer. I have done one proposal for a client so far it included the keyword research we had already done - which I strongly recomend before anything else. Then it had a traffic data break down and analysis of terms selected. It then goes into content building around the keywords selected where neccessary. From here I outline the onpage optimisation and internal site link pathing. Then I mention link building. In fact to some clients where budget is an issue and when I am very busy I have recomended that they do this themselves and given them guidlines on doing so. I always try to be very honest and explain what I am doing - sometimes tot he poitn of boring pople to sleep - but I feel much happier of people know what I am doing and why! I would be very interested to see other peoples proposals and prices. thanks |
