Question What do you guys think of this company....

Hi,
i want to optimize my website and i need to do it as soon as possible. i don't have a lot of time to learn how to do it my self.
i found this company: www.1stsearchranking.com
they helped to give results in WordTracker and i found thier link there.
do you think it would be a good idea to let them improve my ranking?
My goal is to increase my page viewing, that's all it's not an online shop or anything like that, just a website with info and content.
If you have segusstions of other companies that you had expirience with i will apriciete it very much.
thanks...

I don't trust those who use spammy techniques to get my business. Like not being able to close a pop up.
I don't trust those who don't know me but call me friend...

Ask them the search terms that their site ranks for.
Ask them why their site has no PR. I know PR is not important but a site like that should have PR.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. They say no results, no charge. Makes me wonder what kind of obscure keyword phrases they pick.

A good seo company should have/get some kind of pr if only by accident.

Kippy, I got a buck says you're right. Looking at how successful they are with their own site , they might have been looking for a link as much as the promo. I guess they didn't get the nofollow news letter.

Wink FogHorn you just lost a buck....

I don't have anything to do with this company i just found their link on WordTracker and thought they might be good and their pricing is about what i'm looking for. All i want is just to find a good company that can give me a good seo sevice.

If you can't recommend good companies here can you guys tell me at least where can i find a good company?

many thanks...

A buck's a buck... oh well. Did you look at the link in the previous post? They only have seven indexed pages and those are in the supplementals.

There are a good number of successful seo's here as well. If you're gonna entertain that option I'd suggest that you look at some of those that have been around awhile and can demonstrate a successful track record.

did you see the testimonial on the home page of the site. Looks like its the site founders dad.

"...let me congratulate you on your excellent newsletter. Like most people, I guess, I subscribe to dozens of newsletters. I very seldom say "I look forward to it." But I can honestly say that of yours."

however, top be fair, they have a fair amount of testimonials with URLS on their testimonials page. Also this is their Prices with guarentee explained.
Super-Premium Package: In the Super-Premium Package, we optimize your site for 30 keywords and guarantee that we will get at least 24 top 10 positions for you within 6 months from the time that you order our services. Once again, if you get more than 24 top 10 positions, you don’t have to pay anything extra! Only $3499.

I dont think that 24 of the thirty keywords in six months is an unrealistic promise. of course, I could get a client, make a lsit of thirty keywords, 6 of which are high traffic, competitive keywords which look good to the client and 24 which are mediocre, 1-2 hit a day words and rank on the low end words and fullfill my "promise"

I just don't like the way its marketed. Also the pr0 and the lack of a well optomized site for the company itself would raise my red flags.

I'll go for that everyday with phrases like: Mortgage Rates, Refinance Mortgage Rates, Interest Only Mortgage, Construction Loans,.... and another 26 just like them. If they hit 24 of the keyphrases I work on in top 10, I'll make 10 times their charge every month....
The litmus test is if they will do it with the money in escrow as oppose to their account!
The flip side is that if they would do that for themselves they will probably make around $500/day from AdSence alone... Why do it for someone else?

Trusting folks online attempting to sell their SEO services is like buying a used car from a used car lot in the bad part of town from a newly released exconvict.

This is why I don't even refer to myself as an "SEO" I am professional and I do it all, adwords, articles press releases, copywriting directory submissions, etc..... SO I call myself an "internet marketing consultant" There are a million of these minute-mart type seo sites out there and I think that places like that are giving the whole industry a ****ty name.

SEO_AM agrees: All the good SEOs I know do it for themselves. The good ones that make a business out of it refer
the business to substandard SEOs. Bottomline: learn to do SEO yourself.
