Visitors or Sessions

Hi all, I just wanted to check with all you guys to see if you use the concept of Visitors or Sessions, when Analysing traffic, I have always used Visitors, but coming acorss some resistance with one client, and I just wanted to check if I was right to stick to my guns and provide the best service to them!

In my terminology ..

Visitors. If a single person visits the site and looks at 100 pages, that will count as 100 page views, but only one visitor.

Sessions. When a visitor visits the site, and then leaves, and comes back later, it will count as two sessions, even though it's only one visitor.

What do you guys use ? I would be interested to find out.

I use "unique visitors" which is a bit different from just "visitors".

Anyone know this quote? I'm a big visitors fan.

im watching unique visitors to, its best thing to watch, i think that this is connected with visitors IP

if you watch by sessions, then 1 visitor can open your page in browser, then close it, then open again and do that 20 times/day and you will see 20 visits
