Just bumped into this ebook's page
w*ww.searchengineranking-no1.com/ (take the * out) I can't belive someone would actually buy this. First of all, the webpages he claims are so high ranked look so ugly that my first reaction would be to hit the back button. His sales page has a ridiculous PR3 (3 of his inner pages have PR0), and worst of all, look at all those doorway links at the bottom of his page. Gee... what a way to catch innocent newbies.

I don't even think you can use the Google or Yahoo logos without permission can you? Especially to sell your product?

Lol fryman wtf are you talking about look at your own site:
"We have the most affordable search engine submission prices on the net. One payment and we will add the URL of your website to the search engine of your choice for a full year. No need to pay $99 a month at other sites. Our paid inclusion service is a one time fee." "We have upgraded our servers, and now we are able to get your site indexed at Google in 7 days! Guaranteed listing in Google Search Engine in 7 days or less" Google doesn't even have PFI lol, and you're also using google's logo.. |

I don't think maths is his strong point! If he promises a 'Top 5 Ranking' on Google or Yahoo, what happens if 6 or more customers with the same keywords buy his product? They can't all be top 5?!!
Does he mean Top 5 for your main keyword, or any other easier targetted ones? ![]() |

I'm sure it's a bogus guarantee:
"How to get a TOP 5 ranking on Google and Yahoo...guaranteed!" It sounds to me like the guarantee is just for the "how" and not for the actual "TOP 5 ranking." That is, if his method includes things like "get more incoming links than your competitors" he can say the method worked, you just didn't follow it. He could then sell 50 books to people trying to rank for "blue widgets" and even if none of them got in the top 100, he probably wouldn't have to pay out any on his guarantee. Just my opinion... |

yeah i see a lot of people now that are not selling the rankings as a product, more of a means to sell the product, which is an ebook. it's a hell of a markup. they write a few pages of a book that guarantees top 5 ranking and sell it for $20 or more. so that catch the naive suckers. REALLY, i am new to this forum and have learned a ton here and didn't pay a dime. thanks to all the peeps here that make this a great source of expertise!

Actually a newbie would be quite pleased with a Top 5 3-word-phrase. His/Her target audience are users haven't even achieved that much and it's really quite easy. Last edited by pk_synths : April 13th, 2004 at 09:37 AM. Reason: Fat Fingers - pressed to many keys |
