I'm currently running a page made almost entirely of spam for nigritude ultramarine. Why? Two reasons. Mostly, I want to see how well it does. I've always felt that blogs (especially ones hosted at blogspot) get way too much weighting in the SERPs, so I filled one up with on-site nonsense (much like most blogs, actually) to see for sure. My websites that I run for real cannot be used for this contest (not even to link to my page), so other than my new signature links (needed to get my page into G), there will be no real backlinks. If the page does well, it's a bad sign for all of us (unless it actually wins, in which case it would just be bad for everyone but me, haha).

Thanks to all the spammers who've been emailing me many times a day, because a little search and replace gave me lots of "rich" content.

I'm trying to accomplish ranking highly for almost crossing the threshold of good seo and black hat seo. I want to see how far i can push a little website using white hat methods without it dropping from Google.

Not really because thats what I'm trying to prove, the threshold as per Google's definition.

Everyone has a different definition of what constitutes "black hat seo," but I would go so far to say that the only thing we can really agree on is that complete duplicate content on 1000s of useless domains is a complete black hat seo technique. Cloaking would also be considered black hat.

White hat is more keyword density, keyword anchors and links developed through manual link trading and consideration. Some "purists" who would argue that this may constitute black hat methods, but in today's age of SEO, I wouldn't go so far to say that personality.

Take a look at my nigritude ultramine site. I believe this is about as far as you can go without crossing the threshold. Anything more may be considered spam. Obviously, because this is a made-up term, nigritude ultramarine, the content is bogus anyways so I'm going to leave the content quality criteria out of the equation.

I do not expect to win this way. I expect zoolander to win. I made a decision the day of the keyword announcement not to buy the domains, etc. At that point, I sealed my fate. But I did it on purpose since I reasoned that I would not win because I refuse to apply black hat methods and my white hat resources would require too much time and money to compile in such a short period of time.

Zoolander on the other hand, is still using white hat methods, however he's summoned his massive support and resources. He does have a chance and I'll be watching closely to see how it all merges together.

Well, I hope one of the members at www.seochat.com wins. It's like a community here and we've gone to war all together against "the other forums."

However, I would like to see how black hats employ their methods and see which one comes out and declares victory. I bet a black hat will win the ipod, but a white hat will win the flatscreen. Why? Because Google will probably ban the unaccepted methods after the first month.
