I would be really happy if you could share some of the experiences of this competition. Why is for example dashes.com so strong. I understand his blog is very strong but when I look at the page you should win over him, as i see it.
And speaking of duplicate content T2D was pennalized for that once, wasnt he? Now I see the same page (I think) at both #10 and #13, how can that be? I read the interview with him and he seems to know what hes doing.

Since we are at the end I am takeing the chance to quote the first post of this thread. If anyone would like to make any comments please do so. I would like to start with my self.

I have learnt the following:
1. Blogs rank really well, I will turn all of my web sites into blogs.
2. Cold coffe does't taste that bad if you mix it with orange juice.
3. Keyword spam, duplicate content, overlinking, can take you really far when it comes to Google ranking.
4. Seo Teams are fun.
5. Static html still rocks.
6. I know atleast three new safe spam methods, including one that is illegal in most countries.

1. New whitehat definition: if it can be seen... it ain't illegal (or at least you won't get banned immediately).
2. Sandbox for new sites... what sandbox?

Has the #1 site for NU ever stayed there for an alarming amount of time before getting bumped off?

I think some don't even remember they had contest pages.
That's the way web works. After interest towards the site dies, it is left *as is* unless it is important work. And couple of weeks later it is forgotten...

For example, I cleaned my archives from the mid 90's couple of weeks ago. Along them was a list of sites & accounts to services I had way back then - many of those are currently diseased. But alas, there were few ones that were *kind-of-alive*. It is easy to forget, but to remember is hard.

Yesterday I was searching for a piece of software, and discovered that in the top ten was a site I had done on some free host a couple of years ago. It vaguely mentioned the type of software. I'd forgotten about that little freebie site completely. Turns out it has a decent little PR5. So what to do with that? Link out to some of my other sites of course! All those people that have decent PR on the nigritude pages should either turn those pages into something profitable, or use the page as a linking page to something else.
