question how do you go about find the hosting company for a website that is staling from you?

Key, I "fixed" a problem with hotlinking images one time by, ahem, changing the image to something more "appropriate". They got the idea after that.
As for finding their ISP...ping the domain to get their IP address, then puch that in at http://ws.arin.net/cgi-bin/whois.pl that should give you who you need to contact. Good luck.

Many web designers get scared when you tell them that you will contact their ISP and get them banned of Google. They almost always react immidiately to this, give it a go it has always worked for me. Great find earlpearl!

Excellent tool I found a guy pulling 40 to 50 pictures off my site complete bogus site fake numbers etc even incorrect domain numbers info. had the hosting company wrong but I tracked him down and were his site is hosted using this site it is great to locate almost anything http://www.dnsstuff.com/suggest you save it place to get alot of useful information God Bless Joe
