I do my main income from affiliate programs, spread over a few '00 programs and make samll amount in each, it sums up :->

As a still relatively young SEO myself, I am sort of at a loss as to how one would begin as an affiliate marketer. I get referral work from an affiliate marketer who is successful in creating excellent banner ads and convincing sales copy - whereas she does not have exceptional search engine rankings. Clearly finding a nice niche and building substantial search engine rankings where possible to utilize in an affiliate program might work very nicely. Personally I wouldn't know what a good commission would be and what numbers to expect, and thus this is why I've not considered it seriously.

I am not a big time affiliate marketer, but I do make enough from affiliate programs and PPC programs to pay most of my regular bills.
