If this is something the admins/moderators are thinking about, why not send out an email to all of the subscribers to get some real input? There are so many posts on seochat that it is easy to miss one like this one.

I voted for San Francisco, as that is where I live these days. But, I like the idea of NYC also (can go see my folks). Sounds like most people would attend if it is close to home.

You know

It is possable to hold a couple of events at the same time in different locations and Video Conference each party together.. This is the technology business we're in right?

All we would need is a party cordinator in each state and a 24 hr video rental at each party.

I'll supply the Digital Rights Management and streaming publishing points

Just a thought

Prefict - I don't think we're at that point yet, and I'm not sure that it's a good way to conduct a meeting of this kind. While vid conferencing is very effective for business meetings or teams on a project, an SEO meeting would be more of a social, networking and learning event, and I'd be concerned that a video conferencing format would be too formal and direct.

Chachi & Gr8 - A global PM or email sounds like the best idea to me too.

ok sure but what if we can get 100 people in NY and 100 people in Fl and 90 people in Texas and 80 in Seattle and so on.. the meeting points would be varied so more people could attend and the video conference would just be there just to tie it all together. We don't all have to sit down at a conference table and talk about business but do the social thing together in our group and just hit the video to communicate with the other parties and when I say parties I mean parties cause if Im in south beach or the Keys I'm having about eight MaiTais and a lamp shade on my head.

toddieg - As I understand it, there are already several IRC channels for SEO, but I think we'd really do best to meet in person. It looks like there is not enough interest at this point, however. I personally will be in Toronto on May 4 & 5 for the SES show...

Only just seen this now. I've voted for New York, although whether I will be able to attend depends on when it is held.
