I got the same one today. Occasionally I use anonymous yahoo or hotmail accounts to tell those types of people they do not deserve to live...

I filter my email all into one account though some of the sub accounts which are not attached to registrars never seem to get much of that crap. I believe most of it from registar info.

you think they would be smart enough to filter out some sites to prevent negative press, but they are not. i mean how hard is it to go the extra step to search the domain for "marketing" "search" or "seo"?

granted that would not filter out all marketers, but they could be slightly less automated about it. recently I even got one from a REALLY BIG SEO FIRM...I sent that person the nastiest email I have ever sent anyone.

lol... reminds me of some company of Canada that placed an auction at Ebay for "professional SEO services". He said something like "we will get you into the top 10 at Google. How can we do this? Our expert SEOs will tweak your metatags and place strategic keywords in them".

Gee... a professional SEO company that uses metatags to optimize your site for Google...

In the early 1900's guys used to swing into town and sell cures and remedy's packaged in a brown bottle. 1950's door-to-door vaccume cleaners.

What's the difference:
Now it's SPAM SEO companies, or
start your own online business, or
make 3000 to 5000 per month working from home.

The irony is I used to sell vaccumes door to door

Oh man while everyone is one the subject of SPAMMING SEO companies, might as well share one I discovered today, that supposedly according to their website speaks at SES conferences. While I didn't recognize the name at all, there tactics are the exact opposite of what you should be doing. The fabled company set-up for my potential client 30 different domains all with duplicate content and images, went on to include only two keywords in the entire meta-tags of each site, did not optimize the site in any fashion just a bunch of replicated text, then proceed to link their OWN seo sites from all the sites they created for ranking (giving themselves something)..more seo spam, then they proceeded to sell their shopping cart to the guy, make wild claims about being number 1 in the industry for everything under the sun, included hidden text on all the pages as well, used comment tags, excessive alt tags, and many more, then they decide to charge the poor guy an arm and a leg. The guy probably first thought I was nuts as I was going down with everything that was wrong with the site(s) cause there was so many things. Took me 20 minutes just to explain why it was all incorrect. Lucky for him, he is getting out early, and can rectify some of the damage. But not all webmasters are so lucky. Its soooo annoying to see junk like this. I think I might do what Aaron did and send some nasty emails from yahoo accounts. But then again I am way to nice for that. Oh well, another saved sites from the SEO SPAMMERS.

Some of those tactics work temporaraly. Of course people that want to use those tactics have the money to do so and don't care. Casinos, viagra types usually do use those methods becuase sometimes it is all that works. so I can't blame these SEO companies trying to target those.

We will never be able to get rid of them and so the Search Engines keep tring to build a better mouse trap.

Lucky for many of us we develop long term relationships with clients that want to perform ethically. If there is such a thing. ??:

sadly though, there will be at least one website owner who will go through with that spammer's seo service.

Ankit --- please edit your post and remove your self-made signature. SEOChat requires members have 100 posts before they may use signatures. This is to avoid spammers that are only posting to get to their 100th post.

And the irony here is ... I think this post is my 100th
