SEO Programmer
Good Afternoon All,
A quick question: We are looking to hire another SEO programmer ASAP for the company here. Problem is i'm sick of paying £6k a pop to a recruitment agency every time for them to make a couple of calls and have filled out bits and bobs on seovacancies etc to no avail. Any ideas that aren't complete wastes of times or going to cost an absolute fortune would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

You've paid 12K(US) to seo vacancies for that? Man for $500 I would have given you the number of a good guy
I would check the previous threads here in the Seo Pros section and read the suggestions made by them, you might go through the list of top members on this forum and ask them if they are currently offering seo services... that would be a place to start. You might also try companies such as SeoMoz or Seobook who are proven... SeoMoz has a great team and are dirt cheap IMO...(for most of you it will sound expensive but for what they offer they are indeed cheap)

Hi Visio,
Nah not SEO Vacancies but UK recruitment companies which i think is a complete rip off personally. I want the individual to be based on house in the offices here, you think it would be easy but no such luck |

You have to understant that most people with seo experiences (or proven) are probably running their own company. This means that for them to go into an in-house posistion may not be the most beneficial for them! unless your paying in the region of 100k-500k a year! Proven SEO is hard to come by, but if you find it, expect to pay. Pehaps you should look at hiring a reliable person or developing an seo team yourself with no prior seo experiences. you could then learn together how it all works and develop. That is how most of us have developed over the years, from learning low, growing through teams and then moving to bigger things on our own.

SEOMonkey we are an optimisation company with a good and long established team - i'm looking for a new member to add to the team but in the past we have only used agencies at £6k a pop - something i'm sick to death of doing.
Lovekills_s if the rest of the UK is anything to go buy a visa doesn't hold up your entry to the country - get to France, hide under a lorry, off at Dover, up to Manchester and the jobs yours |

Not so much Love but never say never - i am really a firm believer in the fact that if your team are in front of you then you have complete control but on saying that one of the main programmers is based about 2 hours from the office and he generates all the SEO on the Position Gold site to keep the 1st pages in place.

You're definitely right. I'm in the position of putting bricks to create my own small SEO company but I'm still to convince myself I want this because I like working as a freelancer. A company implies high costs and many other things I would not like to deal with. But for me it would be a real challenge and probably a real step forward to leave my country and work somewhere outside in a serious company. This thread made me think about this opportunity again. Now, SEO Attack, would you instead of paying that 6K pounds to some recruitment agency help me relocate or at least find me a decent place to live in with a decent monthly rent? Please share all aspects of this job. If you don't want to do it publicly you may want to send me a PM or an email.

I think, you are right, home based dedicated seo would help better instead of company.
