SEO needed for e-commerce website

Hello everyone,

I was pointed to this wonderful website by a friend of mine. I have done some reading and research about SEO, and have decided it is not worth investing so much of my time to do it myself. My ultimate lack of HTML knowlege is the biggest problem.

I have a brand new e-commerce website that has been launched since Novemeber 1, 2005. We have invested very heavily in Google and Yahoo PPC programs, however the costs are getting very high and would like very much to get high up in the natural ranks. Our main catagory is not very competative and we belive getting to #1 is not that hard of a task.

I am now looking for someone that is willing to spend some of their time fixing up and optimizing stuff on our website. Can you guys recomend any trustworthy firms?

My utimate goal is to hire a knowledgeable indavidual that can do the work for us for a good price, and get results. Is there anyone interested in the position?
