SEO Guarantees - Scam or true

I know no one can guarantee SEO results but how any SEO professional can proove and make sales successfull in SEO business ?

Is this just previous results or SEO guarantees are also legitmate and honest.

A lot of companies give 1st page guarantee, is that right ? if not then what should that company should claim (provided that they are real seo comapny indeed)

Organic or Paid?

I would group it like:

1. 50% use it as a marketing ploy... since anyone can get lucky. [That's the kind that Google notes: no one can guarantee results] And when they cannot produce they find a loophole or ignore the client -- hedging their bet that it isn't worth go to court for.

2. 50% use it as a viable part of business based on their experience and the general odds that more contracts are fulfilled than failed. [That's the kind that Google notes: ensure you get a 100% unconditional money-back guarantee] It reasonable to assume all SEO will fail to achieve the desirable effect sooner or later... and they hand back the money, which is reletively easy to do since they have far more successes than failures.

3. The third group "don't need to say anything about guarantees, or money back" - they know how to address a client's concerns and the client openingly moves forward based solely on the relationship trust.

You will find that SEO isn't actually about "proven-ability" as you cannot truly use another website's results, another website content and structure in another industry targeting another market to solidify any relationship - as these have absolutely nothing to do "with this UNIQUE client's relationship" and how you any going to address "all these NEW unqiue nuances".

That's the difference.

I know I can guaratntee some keywords easily,but I'll never say it, I'd rather my portfolio and skill set do the talking. When you say 'for sure' then you're on the hook to make it happen regardless of circumstances.

I can guarantee #1 on almost any keyword of my choosing.

If you insist on choosing the word... I guarantee nothing except the indexing of the page and best effort on SERPs placement and, depending upon budget, reasonable traffic.

If you guarantee a position you should deliver or pay the client for their time. I do not make my clients sign a contract until they see the results I have been told this is not a good idea but so far it has worked. I don't always do everything standardly speaking.
But you should be able to convince a client without this and deliver.
