SEO Expert needed for well known, multi-million dollar company

Ok guys... Thought I'd give this a shot and see if anyone meets the following criteria for an seo position that is available...

A friend of mine asked me to look into this for him. He is with a prominent, well known multi-million dollar corporation. He is looking for an seo expert to work onsite in Toronto, Ontario Canada. If I feel that you have the proper qualifications I will pass you on for reccomendation in order to discuss payment, etc. Here is what I am looking for:

Expert knowledge of current seo knowledge and trends
Expert in current linking strategies
Expert in onsite optimization
Analytical problem solver
Ability to work well with others
Must be in Toronto, Ontario Canada or willing to relocate
Must be willing to work onsite
Whitehat techniques only
Fluency in English a must

These are the basics really and the rest I would judge after speaking with you.

Here is what I am not looking for...

Corporations or seo companies to do the work
Overseas individuals or companies to do the work
Individuals that do not speak english
Individuals that engage in blackhat techniques

(I know I said this above but I felt it was necessary to repeat myself).

Any shameless-self promoters/spammers who attempt to contact me either via this forum or private email or personal email will receive negative reputation points and a negative comment from me on their message. If you email me privately for shameless self promotion/spamming I will find another message somewhere in this forum you have written and give it negative reputation points and comment. I figure this might deter people who aren't serious or who really believe that I would reccommend anyone who cannot read.

Here is an example of what I do not want to see...

Hi ,

I analysis your website and want to work for you, I have 3+years experince in this field and done more then 2000 SEP project comming in google top ten ranking id you are interestd then PM please my email id(E-Mail address blocked: See forums rules)

Or anything along those lines. Other than that I would like to hear from all the seo professionals out there.

Well I'd call myself an SEO Pro, but I'm on the wrong side of the globe. If you still wanna hear from me then listen up when I say 'Helllloooooooo' in a nuclear-powered cosmic microphone.

lol... I can understand #4, I can even understand #3 if you had put the "French OK" disclaimer

Got to say, this sound like someone is looking to hire an expert for 50K canadian or (approx 43K U.S.) so they can use that expertise to make a lot more money, plus you get to move to Sunny and Hot Canada...sounds absolutely stunning from florida. ....lol.... wait until I tell my girl friend to pack the bags!

Just my humble opinion, but anyone that meets even the most General of your criterial as outlined in "Expert", is either going to have a successful SEO operation already, or going to have many profit center websites where anything you offer, plus that great opportunity to relocate, is not likely going to be attractive.

Well...anything you receive is going to be self promotion, in some form or other, and probably from someone really not as qualified as you desire.

You've now heard from one. (See, self proclaimed....)

My professional recommendation, if your "Friend" wants a long term in house "Expert", hire a experienced but not quite ready to be overly successful SEO. Use the money difference to pay successful, professional "Real" experts on a consultation basis to help your in house "Novice in training" to achieve the success you want. A great opportunity for the "Novice" to learn, a great opportunity to keep them in house. (Until they figure out they don't need you to make a lot of Internet money - the catch with an SEO Expert...sigh..)

Anyway, that way, you only pay by the hour for the time you take up to address; the weak points your site-based SEO; any specific recommendations for a solid off site marketing strategy.

Or, don't be cheap and tell your "Friend" to just hire a professional firm.

They already went the professional firm route. Let's just say the number they were paying was astronomical. Hence this posting to see what's out there.

Really no incentive for anybody to move there, someone in Toronto already or GTA may benefit.

Then the smart money invests in the novice and hire consultants as needed.

If you've spent as much as you imply without satisfaction, well then, my suggestion seems even more valid.

If its a matter of cutting a check to professional, well...

I had to send a collection letter today to a client that's booked over 1M in revenue and 200K in profit from their website alone since our company built it in february of this year. I'll fire them first before I start doing this every month. Then, I'll take on their competition thats been wanting my services and are happy to pay, that I couldn't take because one can't have to many of the same industry.

Makes you wonder about good business practices..... sigh..

A good SEO runs your internet business, will make your business profits and should be compensated accordingly. Remember that.

You juice them, they will get even, and most likely, will hurt your wallet big time. It's only a matter of time with search

A lot of good points. What they have decided to do in the end has almost boggled my mind. Just the other day it was decided that they would put together a "task force" to examine the problem. In other words it's the illusion of something being done without anything being done at all. My friend believes they're going to be in the same boat looking for seo help after the "task force" ends up failing. Big company mentality. Gotta love it.
