What is SEO check? You mean SEO report?

If you wanna have a list of your problems, it can be done in an hour and you can get it for free (seochat forum's site review).

If you wanna an SEO report, it depends. There is no standardized rate for it. Better guys want more cause they offer more. Try to ask some SEO companies or guys from this forum.

Ah found it. Sorry about that but in all the time I have used these forums Ive hardly ventured further than the google forum. I shall have to start using the rest of this forum.

Is there something in the user cp I can use to locate a moved post as I have struggled to find this

WRT the question at hand I was thinking of a consultation. Just wanted a price really to see if it is affordable for me.

When you are logged in go to the bottom of the forums and click on your name in the forum stats box, when it brings up your profile click the "view all posts by this user" link and it will bring them up...

I generally charge $200/hour however there are probably members who would do it much cheaper.

Don't eeven need to look!

The only thing you can likely do to improve a forum (more than just a token marginal change) is edit archived titles to something more on topic... many times members will use "What Happened?" which isn't valuable for anything but if the title was edited to "New Supplemental Results Looks Normal with Google - Sup All Gone"... will have a far greater impact... on ranks... particularly helpful in obtainiing far more longtail search queries.

After that - "get links"!

Cheers Guys,

I like your style. Helpful as always . Visio your hourly rate is half my weeks wages. Do you have a concessionary rate ? (Only Joking mate I am sure you earn every penny).

Fathom, Your advice sounds good and I was thinking this the other day. A lot of the titles in my forum are little to do with the actual topic discussed. At present I dont think there is a forum mod for rewriting titles but I shall endevour to find one. Whilst your working for free could you take a peep at this topic and let me knowif session ids are causing me a problem. I didnt even think the url rewriter used made use of session id's although I must admit I arent sure what they are ? ( Iknow Im a cheeky sod but if you dont ask you dont get)

That is because you haven't been consulted by me yet ;-) (j/k)

My consultation fee is definitely not for everyone... if it was too much lower I couldn't accept all the requests anyways.

Session Ids are not really a "big" problem. While multiple user sessions can cause a penalty problem "copies" are penalized and you are left with one which is the same as starting with only one.

So while sessions can be a headache they are not going to make or break you ranks.

Thats googles story... unfortunately it isn't true. You don't just end up with one... if you leave session ids open you can cause a problem by passing link value to more than one url for the same page. Although Google does select only one of them to rank the rest still have this "link value" - It is kind of hard to explain but I have worked on a number of forums lately and if you don't believe me just find a forum with session ids which has ranked pretty much the same over the past 6-10 months or so. Remove the sess ids and then tell me it didn't change anything...

Not really...

Bill session passes...
Dave session passes...
Jed session passes...
Joe session passes...
Bob session passes...

In these instances all sessions pass a little

Bill session gets penalized...
Dave session passes...
Jed session gets penalized...
Joe session gets penalized...
Bob session gets penalized...

In these instances all sessions penalized are cancelled and Dave's sessions secures all that the others loss.

In the short term sure it can cause a headache but in the great scope of things it reall doesn't make a difference.

Dude you have obviously run very few forums ;-)

I may not be the most successful at getting members active but I have run a great many of them, that is just not the case. Google may be working at thtat but it hasn't got there yet.
