SEO Chat is my #1 forum....

...so I sincerely hope the moderators will leave this post here for a day or so for all the n00bies that are looking for this type of post.

For the members that know me and my posts: I am atempting to make the transition to a full time SEO/SEM, so any FB would be SINCERELY appreciated.

I've spent some time here at SEO Chat, learned a few things, and have met some great SEO's.

I've even picked up a few jobs here as well.

I recently decided to jump head-first into the SEO field, and thought "what better place to post my interest".

I'll keep it short and simple...

I have several members that I have done work for, and you can search my posts for a few of my techniques, and see for yourself my clinical obsession for true WH SEO.

I am leaving a 6 figure position to try this out...stupid? Probably, but I have an obsessively competitive nature and need new challenges.

I've seen what is available out there, and I have not doubt what I've accomplished in the past couple years warrants going solo.

So if you know someone seeking short-term SEO, long-term SEO, or an in-house SEM, I'd appreciate the opportunity to show them some results, and I thank you in advance.

I will provide case studies proven results, as well as sample results as requested.

Gary

Thanks again for your understanding of why I posted this here. 90% of my posts are right here, and I think this is where the most traffic comes from.

Thanks Ya'll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

toddieg agrees: good luck to you - but maybe an 'seo consultation' sig link would be more appropriate for soliciting
business in the forums.
jrothra agrees: Hope the risk produces wonderful returns!

nice work gary - congrats on going solo.

on the other hand i don't think it's necessary to spam your own #1 forum... looks kinda cheesy - especially in the google opt section.

Why do SEO for other people? Build your own empire and take all the loot plus the appreciating value of the websites or at least make that part of the grand plan, do enough for others to pay the bills until your sites are doing it for themselves!
Comments on this post
GaryTheScubaGuy agrees: Thanks Andy, but building empires is the 'other' road I chose 5 years ago. Wish I had the future
vision to build my own...thank you

Do Both...

Every second that you have that you are not working for a client, begin work / continue work on existing sites. That way, when you dont have clients, you are still doing alright.

Also, whenever possible, try to add in a 5% of online sales type of contract with your client(s). This long-term recurring revenue will help offset the instability of self employment.

If you can actually build it into the system (like switching out your adsense with theirs 1/20 times, or taking 5% directly through the merchant account, etc), it is best - so you dont have to worry about invoicing every month.

Thanks for the feedback

I'm goimg where I think the top SEO's reside. I have relentlessly (despite negative feedback) encouraged quality content. Look at my sig,, no links, not self-promotion.

That is why I prefeced my intentions.

Thanks again ya'll!

Hi Andy,

Yeah your right, but I've spent the lat 5 years SEOing for everyone else, rather than pushing my own agenda. Guess that's a leeson learned.

Thaks for the feedback though! Your right!

I think you're a true BH seo'er, the dedication with which you do almost anything for a little attention is admirable. But you still annoy the **** out of me by posting in the wrong forums just for that little bit of attention...
