Please help with costings
Hi,
I do in-house SEO and one of my own websites has done really well in the serps for google, msn and yahoo. Positioned between 1-4 for nearlly all of my keywords. I'd like to sell or lease my website but I have no idea what to charge? Could you please give me some ideas? My site has only 72 pages but I am hitting all my keywords for my targetted audience, as an agency site it sells over £13,000 a month in services providing me with £2,000 profit (but I have no overheads). If I was to lease the website and continue SEO services for the site what could I expect to charge in todays market? I appreciate your help. |

Typically a business earning returns (depending on age), sells for 3 1/2 time the annual revenue.
Why would you sell it? |

Thanks for your imput Gary,
I'm selling it as it is very labour intensive in that I am tied to my phone and pc all week and I would rather develop my skills in optimisation and work on other projects. I guess the value would also depend on the ease of selling the site/business - I can't see myself getting anywhere near market value - which was why I thought leasing the site and charging for use of the site and a monthly SEO charge may be more beneficial. I have no idea what an average ongoing SEO charge would be? Think I read somewhere that some companies charge for every IBL they arrange? Any ideas? Thanks. |

I normally charge $50-$100 per hour based on their competition and the SEM duties they want completed like back-link creation, content, ppc and so on.
