Paying for directory submission - Your results?

It's a known fact that links = placement. While directory links seem to be of less value than before they are still a decent resource.

My question is :

With as many poeple offering this service who is reliable? How were the results? Who would you recommend?

Are there other reasonable options for essentially paying someone to build links for you (<$500 or less.)?

Appreciate any feedback ...

Brian

With a monthly budget of $500 you can expect to get about 80-100 quality one-way links per month.

That's the kind of program I'm talking about ... The problem is how do you measure the success? What directories? I know what they CLAIM but how many are actually added and on what directories?

That specific page has a PR4, which would lead me to be a little hesitant. If your job was specifically link building wouldn't you work to have a PR5 or try for a PR6?

Has anyone used these services? Have they worked?

Brian

Any idea how many links were actually generated?

Any other services that don't have severely overlapped directories that offer the same, inexpensive service?

Any other methods that have worked for links in this manner?

My current experience with directory links is that they have minimal value. If you are competing for non-competitive phrases they can work dramatically. (For a non-competitive phrase my site went from 4th page to currently 5th with a couple of (free) directory bls.

You know what the phrase doesn't drive traffic...so who cares.

One alternative is as follows:

Start contacting webmasters with sites that are directly related. Contact a lot of them and offer to pay for content links. Make a lot of offers. Evaluate the responses. Its a way to get the most bang for the bucks...and you may get webmasters to compete and drive your prices down...thereby stretching your dollars better.

Link Building

Hi

We also provide Link Building services.
We charge on the basis of PR. We can provide links with upto PR 6 or above. Although we don't assure in advance that we will provide 100 PR 6 linnks a month. We can assure till PR-4.

Also, the links we provide are permanent links and if they get deleted from any reason, will be replaced then and there.

We build more than 5000 links a months spread over 60-65 campaigns. All these links are manually built and we do not employ any software for this. Our team members visit sites manually, check their themes and PR (pagerank) and then contact their webmasters individually.

We build reciprocal, one way and three way links.

Pls let me know if this interests you.

Thanks

Sarika

There is a service on 4th-media.com that allows you to write 10 titles and 10 descriptions, then integrate a little code into the registry (scary, yes - but I did it without any craziness), and then when you get to a directory, you can right-click, choose "fill" and it fills all the fields with your info. This has cut the time I spent submitting rather dramatically.

I think they offer "full service" as well, but like scottfish I enjoy doing it myself. It feels safer, and like I am a bit more in control of where my site shows up.
