Anyone want a shot at an SEO position in the "hard money" field against RandFish?
It pays well over 100k and with a little proof and convincing I'll shoot you in the right direction. I doubt I could beat him (he's got his client/employer (?) in the #1 position in a field as competitive as remortgages), but I could get them in the top 5 in 6-9 months, but my plate is filled up for at least that long for the same money. Novices need not apply. Send proof and inquiries to my pm or sig. GaryTheScubaDiver |

100K and your plate is filled up I am juggling 4 large clients projects but wouldn't turn down for that reason.

My thoughts exactly. I'm still in the 5 figure bracket. ...big fish....scary proposition to me. I work for folks on the side that could do it. ....hard to imagine nobody stepping up to that plate though...

That is very difficult turf and randfish is not the only heavyweight you will face. Easier money elsewhere - especially if you are starting from scratch.

No its not! Actually it is rather uncompetitive compared to other segments in the financial industry. |

It is tempting for me personally... I already play in the financial industry. I am not afraid of any kind of a fish, Rand or otherwise... my avatar says it all. However, I am doing my own thing, but the challenge would be interesting.

Nightmare SEO Position in Atlanta Georgia
I appreciate your insight and fb, but I know what I'm talking about, I've done the homework, and considering the vertical approach (organic, paid, affiliate, so on) that it would take, the timing, registration date, number and quality of bl's the current competition has TODAY, and is BUILDING daily, and the current rankings for the company, no, you could not.
RandFish is not the "end-all", but I haven't seen your work or your rankings, otherwise maybe I would agree. I've taken many sites to the top of the SERPS with terms such as "credit cards", "cash advances", "superbowl tickets" and so on, but not in 180 days, and not without many outsourced individuals doing some of the menial daily tasks. I turned it down because they offered a 6 month contract to do what would clearly take, at the minimum, a year and a dedicated department to run the menial tasks that this project would require to even hope to get 1st page rankings, anytime soon. By the everyone, this is an in-house position in Atlanta, Georgia. Sorry, I should have clarified that in the original post. Is Randfish the King of SEO???
It seems like from the discussion that Randfish is the TOP DOG in SEO? That's pretty good that there are people in this forum that are or aim to be just as good.
I have an SEO project that I would like to discuss with anyone of you professionals about. What would be the best way for us to converse more about it? - Gorilla_Bob |

Actually Rand Fish is a highly competent SEO that began his career as a SEO right here on SEO Chat. Rand is a great contributor to the industry at large and in many specific areas. I don't believe anyone here really can be compared to Rand; as I don't believe anyone here, including Rand, can be compared to Fathom, Egol or many other contributors on this board. As for me, I don't pretend to be as competent as some here or elsewhere nor as incompetent as others.
All folks here have value and add knowledge and insight; sometimes just by asking the right questions. |

In my own experience "everyone has an idea" [a SEO Project] and the expected outcome of that "if" one finds the right SEO is rewards beyond belief... and that may indeed be true. The problem with that is: desirable SEO for such a project have proven experience and often the SEO Project has limited proven returns. So you will rarely find a SEO with the right skillsets and knowledge to jump onboard without an upfront container and ongoing fees. If those two prerequisites are undesirable then your belief in the success of your own project isn't apparent 'even with the right SEO'. That said: be prepared to pay for time invested. |
