you should read fathom's post on due diligence. if you're really bent on not trying things yourself then start asking people who appear competent, then compare them all....

Thanks for the reply. I have tried it myself, with mixed results.
I just really don't have the time, so I think it's time to bring in some of you knowledgeable folks.

P.S if you pm me, please leave an email address because I can't return them till I have 10 posts.

Thanks,
Jamie

djstreet was referencing the above.

Adding here... I don't do SEO for others anymore for many reasons - one of which most firms can't afford me... I'll clarify that by saying "marketing is marketing"... traditionally, an established company this should be 10% of your gross revenue. In unestablished companies this should be 20%.

How much do you wish to make? That tends to define the amount you need to spend (divided by 5 or 10).

Your "budget" needs to be realistic since "sales" tends to be what you imply you will have "IF ONLY" you had the exposure developed by a SEO.

In this context you need to spend a great deal of your time doing your own homework so you minimize risk of acquiring a dud.

When creating a marketing budget you should be going through business planning stages. If you're really customer focused it will look lke this:

1. vision
2. objectives
3. goals
4. strategies
5. tactics

after all this planning THEN you create your budget. If you find out you don't have the cash to make the above happen then UH OH, find new objectives/goals....

u don't think they have seo in non-english countries?

i find it easy to believe that with 2.5 years experience in seo, a person of his motivatedness (vocab aside) would post several offers in this forum. he probably has lots of acquaintances with whom he shares his seo enthusiasm (his seo team).

Another option

Jamie:

We are an American and British owned outsourcing company. We are not in India!

You can outsource your web design and other IT jobs for a fraction of what it costs in the U.S., whether your requirements are long or short term.

We can provide a broad range of technical skills and competencies, including the following: Web Designers, Programmers, Databases, Graphic Design, Internet Marketing and more.

And, yes, you can improve your SE rankings with these simple steps.to improve search engine rankings: content and links

We can provide both – quickly, professionally and inexpensively. No tricks or gimmicks.

Content:
We have skilled writers who will research and manually write valuable content, optimized for your chosen keywords. We can update existing content or write fresh content. Prices are just $20 per 500 word article for new, optimized content.

Links:
We have a list of approximately 450 search engine friendly directories that will accept free submissions. This means that you get a valuable one way link from each directory - and approximately 100 of the directories are Google Page Rank 5 or higher. Your site is manually submitted and properly indexed to gain both traffic and links. All this for the low price of just $300 per site.
