As far as I know I have not seen any study done indicating seo professionals are more efficient (or affordable) based on location.

The proficiency of our membership is not dependent upon location. Most of us here are good no matter where we live.

Why don't you just be honest and ask for a slave that will work for peanuts and MAYBE get some commission? Isn't that really what you are saying?

Now getting serious, only because I live in Romania ( or any other country considered undeveloped ) do you think you can enjoy my knowledge/skills, time and passion ( for SEO ) for a few bucks while you'll enjoy a lot of good rankings->traffic->sales->money?

IMHO being a wise businessman does not mean hiring highly qualified staff from countries where the work cost is low - that's a form of neoslavery.

Ease up guys some of this criticism is a bit unfair. The OP may have a budget which will allow him to offer a person in low labour cost countries a good wage but not have a budget to get someone from high labour cost country. Outsourcing to low labour cost countrys is a legitimate and sensible business practice. Microsoft, HSBC, pharmacutical companies and a host of other well known businesses do this. Countries like india have a very high skilled technical sector that is available at a significant cost advantage. Those people working in this industry are well paid by the standards of wages in there country.

Personally i think much of the criticism of the OP above is unfair.

I have received good service from programmers in India, Pakistan, Poland and even New Jersey!

A guy in Peru recently wrote some scripts that I tried to write myself and got into a time sink. He used an entirely different approach that worked better than my method.

I wrote the specs for these jobs and posted them on scriptlance. Got lots of bids within an hour and most jobs were done before I went home that same day.

I didn't go into this thinking... "I want somebody cheap." I went into it thinking... "I want a program that works." I was surprised at where the people selected lived.
