Looking for an expert

I know this is not a regular type of request but here goes anyway, I am the creator of a DVD product that teaches people how to use computers, And is ideal for beginners or those upgrading from an earlier version of windows. The problem is although I know that there are many thousands of people world wide who are in desperate need of a product such as this I am getting hardly no sales the websites I own are called www(dot)learnaboutcomputers.org.uk – www(dot)ezway.co.uk – www(dot)pcbuilder.net (visit any of the sites to see a demo of the product)

The reason posted a message here is that I am trying to join forces with someone on some kind of profit sharing agreement, who has experience with web marketing, that can get the product out there on search engines and by other modern means.

What I have to bring to the table is a very marketable product with world wide appeal and also the knowhow equipment and experience to produce online product videos of any kind.

first you need someone or customers to see and read your website. If no one can see it or its not visible in 4 major search engine you won't get any profit from it.
heres what you should do:

1. Optimize your website with good content
2. Build links pointing to your site
3. create free offers to attract visitors]
4. promote your site through ads or banner
5. join in social networking site that many people would love your product. ( invite them )

ezway let me first give you a heads up, do-not agree to work with anyone within this forum unless they have a good reputation rating and have been joined up for a considerable amount of time, as offers like yours attract alot of "cowboys" to the sign up here and take your money.

Also, The first thing I would suggest is you syndicate those proposed video promotions of your product to video sharing sites Youtube and the like, making sure to include all relevant keywords PC help DVD or whatever it is people search for. You need to use tools like Google Adwords keyword tool, HitTail, Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery to find out the keywords you need to target within your own web pages also.

If you can find a respectable SEO and can assist him with your videos and other topical knowledge, I have no doubt you will succeed.

I don't think this guy needs a bunch of radom advice. He needs a kickass person who knows how to make traffic and make conversions. BAM!

go figure... if world wide appeal you'd think it would bring volumes of sales... so why not?

The greatest issue involved in something that is a quid pro quo partnering e.g. you get me ranked 'for free' and I'll cut you in on profit sharing is the SEO has zero control...

I doubt you'll get anyone to bite unless one of the following is done:

1. establish a corporate, partnership, or LLC and SEO becomes a equal shareholder

2. you transfer the domain being promoted to the SEO

3. all sales go through SEOs merchant services... and they then pay you your cut.

... or a combination of the above.

What you ask for is "no risk return for you" where the SEO get "nothing but risk"...

What you actually bring to the table is "hardly any sales"... and from that you surmise -- if only I were ranked I'd get a tons of sales...

go to the bank and get a loan... and then hire a SEO.

This project sounds very appealing (under fathom's arrangement posted above).... but we are having too much fun with our own battles.
