Investing in SEO marketing companies.

Hello all,

I have no SEO skills, and I don't have time to learn.

Instead, I want to invest up to 10,000$ in SEO marketing.

Looking to be in the top 10 on Google.

I will have my designer have a complete website ready promoting a herbal affiliate program. So I am looking for a solid targetted traffic source.

Any comments on SEO companies?
Any imput on who's good or not, or if there is any better way to get in SEO for google and other SEs.

you have 10000? that was your first mistake, you'll be SLAMMED with requests.

my suggestion? take 5000, pay yourself for i dunno, 1.5 months, learn yourself as much as you can, maybe hook up with someone so you can learn under them, and then with what you can't do, hire out to someone you've hand picked. done and done, money well spent.

There will be numerous PEOPLE who will ADVICE you.The point is whom do you take the ADVICE from.

Especially from a person claiming knowing SEO having his own website 0 Page Rank and I am sure of Not Having any references when asked for.

I am really sad that people who don't KNOW SEO at all or just KNOW the BASIC'S OF IT , are using there MODERATOR power to ADD baseless comments.

I would request the ADMIN here to STOP giving MODERATOR facilities to such people just because they post MORE or REGULARYLY.

Please ADMIN focus on QUALITY and NOT QUANTITY .

The beauty of these forums is that there are 100's of SEO's here who are happy to offer their advice to you enabling a better understanding of the process of SEO.

My advice would be to spend time on here and other forums and become familiar with what "does" and "doesn't" work for SEO by reading threads on Google optimization, link popularity, submissions etc etc.

Then and only then when you have clear cut ideas about the way that your website should be marketed across the engines and what we call "white hat" and "black hat" techniques would i approach a company or individual. At least then you know if they are trying to spam or hype up their services to get your $10,000.

Please beware of 'fradulent' people who claim they can do it for less than $10,000 just so they can rip you off.

This is an extremely tough category and the $10,000 may not even necessarily cover the work that needs to be done. I'm you're aware of Herbalife and the many many MANY clone websites that are out there. They have pretty much saturated the market. It can be done but it comes at a price.

did he just say he could guarante it? No one can guarante top 10 placement on Google. The only thing they can tell you is the techniques that will be successful in getting there. Read about optimization and how to gain links so when you get in a conversation with people you know who is using white hat techinques and those using black hat. if you want a site that is going to be lasting throughout time you need to use the white hat techiques.

think of it this way, if someone could promise you first page placement for a keyworld like 'mortgage' dont you think those companies would pay $100,000 to get it?

Disclaimer: In general, without knowing greater details about you services, target markets, and the merits of your current website $10K seems low - not that it can't be done just that the likelihood "across any industry or segment is pretty remote".

That said, while I do not perform SEO services for others [retired] I do know how to tell as "worthy professional providers... from learners... from deadbeats that take the money and run therefore:

Take names and quotes, references and work history for 6 or more and then forward them to me... I will review and provide 'my pick'.

That's in itself is still no guarantee (noting my disclaimer) but an unbiased review at least it is a better informed risk than relying on any single person to have your best interests at heart.

I still say that my post makes the most sense. I don't know if you're niche in herbal is competitive, but I do know for 10 000 u can pay yourself to learn.


BTW, I launched my site at the end of August. That's one month. Zero advertising but over 2500 uniques last month, not bad for side project.

Hehe, well i had got some, and sometimes i dont even understand what i am saying...

10K can be a very good start even in a competitive arena. Start with supporting not-as-competitive-KWs and work your way tighter from there. Besides it's not like competition matters if you can find a way to seperate yourself from that competition (marketing 101). It's all about conversions... not KWs.

There really isn't enough info provided to say whether 10K will do what is needed but like I said, it's definately a good start.
