Hi Guys

I am looking and looking and I dont know what to do, I spoke to someone from submitexpress and they really sounded like they are more intrested in my money then to optimize my site.

I need to know if any of you have ever taken a company to do your site SEO and if it was succeful.

Please help,

Thumbs up

It's tough for a novice to find a good company since it's hard for them to figure out what to look for....

Alot of companies have the knowledge and expertise to help your company or business, but the trick is finding a good seo that will follow through and put in the right effort....

Best thing I can do to help you is make a recomendation for someone other then myself......

Most the moderators here and users with very high post counts are reputable....

You might wind up getting a bunch of PM's from posts like this, I would ignore them...

^^ Good call on ignoring all the people PMing him to do SEO for him.

Snoop around and go with who you feel comfortable with. There is no rush, as you are not going to get ranked high over night.

You make some good points clasione. Half of the problem i have is convincing clients that SEO is worth it is because of the bad image that some people have of SEO companies.

Some just seem content to take the money and do the bare minimum. It must be a nightmare for website owners to decide who to go with.

Wow. $19. You should add .99 to that. $19.99 sounds like a deal to me!

Can someone provide some referrals/references for people who have done quality work? Obviously most of the people on this site have done SEO work but I'd like to hear from some of the people who have had the work done ...

Difficulties? Successes? Concerns? Scope of the work?

I'm not a SEO professional, but I would like to find one. Communication and results are the most important IMO.

Brian

Ah, EarlGrey... You've made this old fish proud. $19 is the perfect amount to charge for SEO. ReZ - Shame on you for blaspheming so - $19.99 is an aberration, a heresy, an affront to us all!

Seriously, there are several people and companies I'm constantly referring people to:

1. Miislita.com - Dr. Garcia is accepting some new clients at this time, I believe and it's hard to find someone with as much competency.
2. WeBuildPages.com - Jim Boykin's crew is great at getting good results.
3. SEO-Guy - Heard great things though I've never met Morgan in person.
4. Knechtology.com - Alan K'necht is a sharp SEO and someone who's very fair, too.

There are some other great ones out there, but they're not coming to mind immediately. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Whoever you choose i would recommend making sure they are doing SEO properly and not just spending your money on a pay per click campaign or using methods that will get your site banned or penalized down the line like cloaking etc. :0) be careful. also choosing one that specializes in your industry would be helpful.

by the way, we are competitive over here and only charge $19.89 a year.

Good seo

I have been through a few seo's. Its just hard to find one that get decent work done and at a good price.
My answer was outsourcing and i was referred to one that has gotten me good results and top 10 rankings in the dental field which is very competitive. You guys are right, looking through the net is the answer. there are also resources where u can get quality backlinks(page rank 5) for free if you look hard enough ;-) . Thats a secret i dont give out easily lol.
here is an seo that has gotten pretty decent rankings for me

searchengine-optimization-guru.com
Hes in india so for me its all about outsourcing.
I would have rather have found an american seo but seo here especially in california is very expensive, and most of teh bigger seo companies outsource it to others overseas anyways, so why cant i do it also.

I used to believe that a top 10 ranking was impossible to promise, until it was promised to me and delivered
regards
wall(by the way i dont know a darn thing about seo lol, just good at finding info in search engines)

It would be very nice if the people looking for a SEO company would come back after some time (say: nine months) and share their findings. In decent language of course. Rather than experiences with seo quacks, we'd like some more seo success stories. Especially if they have their backgrounds in this forum...

PS: wall, even if you are se-o-guru then you made a very good effort Your use of "u" instead of "you" made me think twice though. Kidding of course: as I said it's useful to get customer feedback from time to time

Hehe i always like to use shorthand cause sometimes i get lazy lol. As far as me being an seo guru, im a huge numbnut when it comes to seo. I can give my seo's results for my dental site but id much rather not unless its through pm because at the same time it took him a while to get my rankings and i dont want every person on the face of the sun duplicating my site.kind of defeats all the hard work that i did in coming up with content and my seo getting my site ranked.
I can show u in pm but i dont want to discose it in public for all to see. As far as him being me im in san diego and hes in india and i got a contact number if anyone wants to prove or disprove it.
I will however disclose that he is going to be working on my moms baklava sweets site. http://www.kathysmediterraneanbakery.com as soon as i get off my lazy buttock and finish off all the content for her.
Guys she makes the best baklava on earth.
