I just got 1973 e-mails

Hi,

Is there a new virus out there? I just checked my inbox and I received almost 2000 e-mail messages most of them had attachments.

that sucks.
is it a free email account or your pop account?

It is my primary pop account.
Someday I will figure out a way to make an e-mail address
last long enough to make it worthwhile to print business cards. :-|

I don't know what mail program you're using now, but Mozilla's Thunderbird has one of the most advanced junk mail filters out there. Basically you "train" it to recognize what you consider junk - then as it learns, you can set up automatic filters to delete it.

but the last time I had that many emails like that I had a virus on my computer. I do get a lot of junk email myself but that is mainly because of what my dh chooses to do on the internet. Mostly spam not virus emails. But I have been getting a lot of virus emails sent to my yahoo address lately. Not sure what thats about.

With a firewall and an updated anti virus software I feel safe.
The sobigF virus was sending e-mails from infected computers; I was just wondering something similar was in circulation.
