How much is an SEO domain worth?
Hey guys,

New to this forum....

Just wondering how much you think a domain is worth if it is, say, ranking in the first 5-15 results for 'search engine optimization' on Google, MSN, and Yahoo!?

Just wondering as there is a site out there right now in that situation that is interested in selling and I don't want to get ripped off.

There are a lot of factors to determine it. I'll stick with the 19 bucks...lol

I would suggest you go to SEDO.com and have the site independently appraised. You list it here and you may not get the opportunity to buy it..lol

IMO the value of a domain is related to how sexy the URL is and the number and quality of backlinks that will remain in place after the deal is done.

WeRASkitzzo agrees: the BL's that will REMAIN are the real key... lots of people pump up a site's BL count to sell it
and then remove the links from their network of sites and your rankings along with your BL count

That depends on the number of char in the domain, its meaning, general popularity, number of backlinks, whether it's submitted in Dmoz/Yahoo Directoy etc ...
