Here is a quote from another thread:
"Just a comment: Recently we have experienced a veritable explosion of SEO talent searches. I think that the brick and mortars and larger Internet based businesses have finally woke up to the facts: To compete & succede on the Internet you must devote time and effort into SEO/SEM. Many believed they could do it through advertising alone only to have much smaller competitors place higher in the SERPs and kicking their collective butts. Smaller site owners take notice... the bigger fish are starting to enter our ponds."

nice...this means people is informing about SE and their power bringing clients.. people is getting wiser, first was about getting internet for their emails and all that stuff, then banking process and paying online, then getting a website as a good presentation letter, then ussing ads and poor email marketing, then ppc, and now SEO... this benefits all of us in some ways: more clients, ect and cant be bad too: more competition = lower prices because of competitors...

Yeah it has been coming for a while. When the PPC rates keep going up and the conversion goes down why wouldn't everyone be running for organic listings? But it will certainly produce heavier competition in areas. However I still don't see a great increase in SEO professionals. I see alot of sites claiming to provide those services but I don't see real professionals.
I do think with Google updates and more sites going for SEO it could get harder to position sites. But it still boils down to who knows what they are doing and who doesn't.

that true.. i havent seen more pro in the field since i join in this forum (at least i havent seem more of those in the blogs and forums), maybe because people had realize SEO was not important those days, but now they want to sale by internet and whats the best way than saleing it by internet, because is a door to all the countries.
I had been here for a year now and i havent seen more than 30 people that can be consider a pro in the field which in some ways is nice because you got more space to work but as they are a few ones some of your questions cant be answer and some experiments cant be done. |

I've definitely seen an increase. Maybe 50+ emails, 10-15 IM's, I just got back from a Costa Rican company doing SEO and going to London next week for a month with another. Both came from this forum.
Then MSN offered a job in Washington for 75k+ and a local company at 52k for ppc management. Its been crazy. |

ps. I'm in the states with 7 clients. 3 are local. 1 in costa rica, 1 in london, 1 in africa and the last in australia. I just got back from costa rica and I'm going to london free for a month.
Do your homework here and elevate your skills...the rest will come. Edit: Get good at your chosen occupation. Its been a hobby for me and the competitiveness of the crowd I hang with. Incredibly its turned into a 6 figure job that I had never planned on...but don't think for a minute it came easily, it was competition...now its replaced my occupation, and I make money doing what I love. Good luck, and I hope things work out well for you too. GaryTheScubaDiver Last edited by GaryTheScubaGuy : June 8th, 2006 at 10:56 PM. |
