Exsisting business needs Google listing..anyone interested in some work?

Hi
I run a small business hiring out high performance vehicles in the UK. I am currently spending a ridiculous amount with adwords, which i cant really sustain. I am looking for someone who can help get the website right up the top of google listings (i know it isnt just that easy tho). A similar company has used a small web design company and shot to the top of google, No.1!!! there must be someone out there than can help??????????
I have already paid 2 companies to do this, with their usual sales promises etc and seen no return. I am now in a position where i am sceptical of these kind of companies who say they can do this and that and am nervous trying to find another one now, hence me posting this as i feel i will get more honest feedback.
I look forward to hearing back from anyone........

cheers
warwick

8 views and three solicitations 2 from india (no sorry one). Listen, before you get bombarded by newbies whow ill take your money, browse the forum and see what you can do your own, and then if you want, approach someone you think is competant enough yourself. You're just setting yourself up for spam galore.

If that's the case you are doing it wrong... please note that 'targeted ads for target visitors' implies "targeted sales" which should be quite sustainable.

If you are doing this incorrectly - then your SEO fee can be found in the same budget as you are using now but with a fair amount more ROI.

Chatmaster agrees: Very true words. Addwords should pay it's way or maybe your business model needs some work...

Hi Ferrari

We've just been hired to do exactly the same thing for a company in Lancashire. How do I get in touch with you to offer our services?

web-maestro - I truly have no appreciation for your expertise but given the fact that you just started posting on an SEO forum today - and your #1 post made 8 minutes before this one asks a very basic question that an experienced SEO wouldn't need to ask:

RE:

How on earth is this site #1 in GoogleUK?!

Might I suggest you gain some experience with your current clientele before experimenting on 'new ones'?

Most clients would expect you to 'know what you are doing' rather than 'learning as you go'.

Gosh - you are really fast. You have already checked every SEO forum in the world and ascertained that I have never posted on any SEO forum before! (mind you, you're wrong)

Or perhaps you are not a native English speaker, and you really meant that I have just started posting on THIS SEO forum today? That would of course be accurate, though not at all relevant - unless you believe that someone is not an expert unless he is a regular on this holy grail of SEO forums?

Ah, so you being an expert presumably have the answer then? Do tell me your solution to the puzzle I posed, and then I will tell you if it is correct.

Forget that. I've just seen your home page - invalid CSS, and the HTML validator won't even attempt to parse your code. Or maybe you are better at SEO techniques than web design?

Might I suggest you mind your own business, unless of course Ferrari has hired you to vet responders for him? Or perhaps your official role on here is as some form of net cop and your business is to investigate all newcomers in case you might be able to discredit them?

I suspect most clients of a copywriting business like yours would expect you to spell "physical" properly on your home page ("Features mental and physcial fitness"). Perhaps you could fix that rather than spending your time making unsubstantiated assumptions about others?

djstreet disagrees: fathom is way too nice. if u've been around then u'd have a client base negating the need to spam
forums.

My assumption are far more accurate than you will admit to...

1. If you belong to other forums with a lengthy membership you likely wouldn't have arrived here with a first 'amateur question post'.

2. If you belong to other forums with a lengthy membership you likely wouldn't have made such an amateur mistake as posting a "hire me" post 8 minutes after #1.

3. If you belonged to any of the usual SEO forums - my username wouldn't be so foreign to you.

4. I am retiring from SEO on Thursday - and don't want any SEO clients - I just got rid of them all.

5. The fact I don't want any SEO clients doesn't mean I'm not interested is helping "all members" in appreciating 'what they don't know' or not sure what to check for.

6. I already posted an answer to your question.

7. Validate HTML and CSS doesn't affect SEO - what-so-ever.

8. Sometimes it's wise to do a little reading - so you don't make an *** out of yourself.

Lastly Ferrari may still wish to hire you... but at least now he can make "informed decisions".... and the first thing he should ask is to review your track record (including those professionally gifted SEO posts you have - elsewhere).

Fathom... I lost track... on Thursday... it sure arrived quick. The professional SEO industry will sure miss you and your talent, but I am sure you will have your own stuff still up or develop more of your own. Right?

Web-maestro... you sure jumped in with both feet. I like that. Only problem is that you jumped into a puddle. You will find around here that the older members will try to protect newer ones from making major mistakes.

Nobody knows you here at SEO Chat... You may be qualified... or you may not be. Do some posting within the SEO Chat community and build some credibility. Once done, you may receive more SEO work than you can handle... Or, like now, receive none. Either way is fair.
