Content Writer Available
Hi, forum.
Let me apologise in advance if you guys don't welcome content writers whoring ourselves on these boards. Feel free to verbally bitch slap me if I'm not welcome. Anyway. I've just moved from part-time to full-time content writing, and as a result I have to supplement my current 2 hour a day work load with a further 6-8 hours of assignments. If you or your clients are in need of high-quality content I'd like to offer my services. I'm British (though I have no problem adjusting my writing for US English) and offer a much higher quality of keyword-rich, engaging content than you'll get from many other content writers - to be honest, the vast majority of the content market is full of crazy developing world writers who'll take half a cent per word and produce barely legible dross. If you need content that will actually interest the reader as well as push you towards that magical spot at the top of the search engines, I'm you're man. If you just need the equivalent of keyword-filled SPAM you can probably find that elsewhere, and cheaper. My rates for well-researched, informative articles are as follows:- 250 words = $10 400 Words = $15 600 Words = $19 800 Words = $23 I am an experienced researcher, and can become an 'instant expert' (at least insofar as is necessary to produce an informative article) on any subject. My prior industry experience includes: Oil & Gas, Recruitment, Finance, Utilities, Healthcare, Small Business Management and Sales. If you would like to employ my services for any project, large or small, please get in touch at sortapundit@hotmail.com. Looking at the average standard of work from most content writers even a grasp of the English language seems unnecessary, djstreet
However, I'd be quick to disagree that few content writers are gifted. Content writing simply supplies the means to pay the bills while we pursue our creative writing goals. The problem with being a freelance writer is that it is very much a case of 'feast or famine'. Content writing helps cushion the fall and keep the utilities from being disconnected when a bad month comes along. Bombaywala, I suppose I can only back my claim with my word. Not worth much on the Internet, admittedly, but as I use my real name to advertise my services my reputation isn't difficult to establish. Last edited by Keith Taylor : July 17th, 2006 at 04:04 PM. |

Being a cautious consumer - honestly and quite frankly Keith - your name does not value anything if that is what you are using for your reputation. Without existing work there is really nothing much you can claim (like a fresh graduate cannot claim what an experienced can and you are asking people to take you as experienced without any backing). Who care if you are the best Football agent (Jerry McGuire) - its all about show me the $$$ - in your case, back up your claims my friend. That is my spending style - not saying you will never find work. I wish you goodluck. |

Thank you, bombaywala. I do my best
Of course, you're correct. In a market in which our best work is copyrighted by others without a byline - and our average work would only glean us low paying jobs - it can be a struggle to prove our bone fides. We just have to hope that we can catch a potential client in a good mood who is willing to risk a little money on a first piece. If we can impress with the early work we can often secure ongoing assignments. Of course, all of this self-promotion is unpaid - and cuts into our already poorly compensated writing time. Who'd be a freelancer, huh? Update - Ha! I just got an email threatening to fire me from a content assignment because, get this, I had submitted the completed work too quickly. The client thought I must be farming the work out and skimming a cut. I'll say it again - who'd be a freelancer? Last edited by Keith Taylor : July 17th, 2006 at 06:14 PM. |
