I have XP 64 (seems very stable), and Vista Ultimate 64 (seems to crash a lot). I haven't tried Windows 7 and I am reluctant to do so until there has been more testing and Microsoft have brought out all the new updates for 7, like they do.

The most sensible thing do to IMO is to wait, especially if you already have something that works. But then some are suckers for new technology and rush to get the newest thing out for bragging rights, but it's not always the smartest thing to do.

Even the so called amazing Iphone is crapping out. I watched it on watchdog which is a tv program in the uk about product crap outs. 400 quid they were too.

Gaz you could set fire to your Vista CDROM and enjoy watching it burn when you have your new windows 7 (fingers crossed for it).

I'm with seogoat -- I think I'll wait until at least Win7 SP1 has been released, and/or MS open up a "free upgrade from Vista" as a lot of people seem to suggest they'll offer at some point (possibly just before Google's Chrome OS launches?)

I'm in with the 0.2% of people who don't mind Vista, but then I only grabbed it when it dropped in price about a year ago so I wasn't around for the teething problems. Early adopters are always going to get it in the neck when it comes to problems, whether it's Windows, iPhones, experimental air travel, backyard chemistry, discovery of fire... etc!

Hell a lot better than Windows Vista!

I am on Vista and I truly Madly Deeply HATE it, A complete resource hog .. it just eats up every bit of RAM I give it to.. Stock RAM with my notebook was 1GB.. Upgrade to 2GB made it even more hungry.. and 4GB seemed to be just about a threshold value to make it happy.!!!

Windows 7 is my rescuer in all aspects!.. I'll get an upgrade done very soon..Tried my hands on it.. truly seems like a MAC killer! with all those MAC style Icons

Man... I've just got this working. And I managed to delete my entire Vista partition, with all my website data, but luckily it's backed up. It's a bit of a nightmare learning all the commands, as I am finding out at the moment. Vista is easier. It is good to try to dual boot Vista and Linux then you get best of both worlds, I guess.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I might test Ubuntu sometime.
