Which is the BEST SEO Software?

Hi everyone

I am a total newbie to SEO and although very interested in the subject and very willing to learn. Time is the enemy.

Can anyone recommend good SEO Software to get me started. I fully understand that ultimately I need to READ, LEARN and PRACTICE. But I really need something quick.

SEO Elite keeps coming up in various threads. Can anyone recommend it or can you recommend a better alternative?

Thanks in advance for the help it is very much appreciated.

Gavit

SEO Elite

SEO Elite gets on my nerves because they have such a fake and cliched marketing campiagn. However the tool is okay. I downloaded a trial verison and it quite fun.

However if you need ranking in a hurry, SEO elite is not the best way to do it. No SEO software is really.

If you are in a real hurry considered PPC.

Or if you want to get actally ranking in a hurry firstly, from personal experience, I've found ranking on phrases that have even a little compertition is pretty much impossible in under 2 months (and that ambitious). The fastest and quickest way to get ranked generically would be to buy links, by a few high PR links with correct anchor text, from completely different people.

SEO elite will only provide you with reporting tools and a search function to find linking partners, which will provide cheaper and more stable ranking, but takes ages.

Sorry about the spelling, to make up for it here is a Panda eating a simile:

SEO Elite is a really helpful tool with great support (callenb on these forums is the creator). Now if you are willing to exchange links SEO Elite can help you find people to propose exchanging links with and will let you target people that link to your competitors etc. However, I must stress a general principal. There is no way to quickly rank. If your site has been around a while that will help because you wont have to deal with the sandbox. If you are wanting to rank very quickly start with very low competition key words. If you dominate 30 phrases that get 100 searches a month that adds up quickly and it is MUCH easier to rank for phrases like that. Now, to know how to rank well in the SERPs I would say READ! Read these forums for a week, ask questions when you dont understand and it will be very well invested time. I credit 75% of everything I know about SEO to these forums and while that may not be as much as some people around here, I am doing well with my sites key words. Good luck, so long as you arent going after real estate related terms lol

Thanks guys.
I understand that there is no magical programme that will whisk me to the N0 1 slot. When I said I need something quick I meant a 'tool box' so I don't have to make the tools as well as build the empire.

P.S. Whats PPC?

SEOElite is better than sliced bread. I am not affiliated with Brad or the program, but you CANNOT go wrong with it if you are interested in being in the SEO game.

I've tried a host of others, and most of them are sitting on my comp without ever being used. SEOElite I use day in , day out...

tool that compares and keyword stats

Hi there, I'm also new, and sniffing about what will be a good tool without having to buy a few to find what I like. Have the demo of seoElite and looks like I'd use it a lot to find out how the keywords are doing.

Is there any program for the desltop that does something like wordtracker and lets me query on lots of keywords at once for competitiveness / amount of searches. Ie results from wordtracker, overture, and google ads but on the desk top, I find I spend a lot of time in these 3 clicking through lots of pages when there doesnt seem the need

It would be really neat also to have a comparison of my site key word with top ten results built in like at:
http://www.gorank.com/seotools/

all of the above + seoElite would be really sweet, especially if it was in one tool kit

Thanks
