The power of Digg
As a hobby I will occasionaly video a local event and edit it into little 5 minute videos and stick it on YouTube.. not done any for a while.. but anyway..
I noticed via email today that one of my videos got a comment, which is pretty rare, so I went over to my YouTube account and saw that over 10,000 people had viewed the video in one day!
A quick investigation discovered that someone had embedded my video in an article that was at the top of the Digg sports section. The article is:
Obviously it brings me no gain at all other than being pretty happy that so many people have watched my video! It is however a good demo of how Digg can bring massive amounts of short term traffic.
The article is worth a read if you have 2 minutes spare, it's quite a mad game we play round these parts!
