Question Strange SERPS Results After a Few Minor Changes - Please help!

Hi

I recently re-optimised my http://www.harlequinproperty.co.uk/website one of my main keywords: “Caribbean Property” was ranked in the FIRST page of Google for both: from pages from the UK and from the Web - BUT now it’s lingering on page 2 of both UK and the Web SERPS.

Can anyone please tell me why? Is it because of my recent changes (the changes were only made on META Tags though) or is it something else? If so:

a) What?
b) And is there anything I can do to reverse matters?

Would it help if I change the present URL that has the TITLE Tag “Caribbean Property) from:

http://www.harlequinproperty.co.uk/resales.php to look like as follows:

http://www.harlequinproperty.co.uk/caribbean_property.php

Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

You've been a member here for five years and you don't know inbound links are what will make the difference? Where have you been? Get links from related sites or articles back to your URL using the search term, "Caribbean Property" and that will solve your problem. The on-page stuff is about 10% of why you rank. Change your URL.....complete waste of time and effort.

Well with all due respect I do know what Inbound/Back links are and I have been striving to obtain these for a while now through: Article writing & syndications, Social Bookmarking, Blog Reviews, Press Releases etc. etc...

Get links from relevant website, use your targeted keywords in your anchor tag article submission is not very worthy because these pages go in supplemental indexing so, you can't get advantage of link juice.

Maximum blogs, SB sites use no follow attribute.
Maximum PR site doesn't give you permissions for links if you get than maximum pages move for supplemental indexing so you mayn't get advantage of link juice form this submissions also.

But by this you get very high traffic but there are some keys..

For press releases use suspense, for articles submission use pinching tile, for sb use clickable title and insightful content.......

There are very good information at http://forums.seochat.com/search-engine-optimization-28/save-seo-industry-go-viral-187152.html

One thing I would like to suggest you write a quality articles and publish it on your website if may improve you one way links and go for link building and link bait

Could have fooled me when asking if you should use a keyword in a URL. If these bottom feeding techniques you mention aren't getting you the rankings you want then you need stronger links as Stan suggests. Little tweaks to on-page SEO will only result in wasted time and effort with minimal impact.
