Should I enable forum description

Hi guys I am new this is my first post, I run a forum using vbulletin. My question is this, from an seo point of view, should I enable the feature that puts my forum description on every post in that forum, will it be beneficial for search engine rankings and help posts rank better for those keywords within that description? Or will it cause me duplicate content issues? Or will it have little effect at all?

I see that this forum does enable the forum description in every post within that forum, so based on that I presume it is the right thing to do, still I thought I would post the question anyway just to clarify.

Many thanks in advanced.

Does absolutely nothing... a waste of code!
