SEO Seminar through Network Solutions?
I usually just always read posts, don't really do much posting. But I was curious if anyone has ever attended one of these before?
The company I work for launched a new site almost 3 months ago to date, our search rankings have steadily climbed at a rate we're happy with. Just you can always do better right? We're by no means experts, but we're not complete newbies at it either...kind of on the middle to low end of knowledge regarding SEO. Anyways, so I was searching for SEO Seminars that I could attend to really get a better knowledge of it. What we're hoping to do is find a few good ones and then attend them yearly to keep on gathering knowledge of SEO as it constantly changes. Though my searching I found the Seminars that Network Solution puts on, since it was high on the first page I thought that has to be a good sign. I was just curious if anyone has been to one and if so, how good where they and what level of user they were meant for (IE beginner at SEO or expert or somewhere inbetween). Thanks |

Hi again Cook. I just responded to one of your other threads.. Take a look.
On the Network Solutions seminar, I have not personally taken it. However, I have many clients who have. From what I've been told, it's a well-organized introduction to the world of SEO for the beginner. I've had many people tell me that before they took it, they simply didn't understand half of what I was telling them. After they took it, we were "speaking the same language." As I reflect back on my introduction to SEO, I can understand that totally. There is a bunch of jargon and a mindframe that SEO types have and it does create a communication barrier for those who don't have it. So from this stand-point, I think it is an excellent choice for a total SEO beginner. Now the criticism. It is not great for people who have already done the research on their own to learn the SEO basics. We have a number of clients who have taken the course, done everything they were told, and then hired us 8 months later when nothing was happening. So in the end, it's a matter of expectations. If you go there to gain an introduction to the basic principles of SEO and to learn the lexicon - then it's great. If you are expecting to learn some magical SEO secret that will make your site zoom to page 1, you will be disappointed. As ever - Hoping my thoughts don't offend and in some way help.. |
