Ridiculous!

Seo.com sold for... you'll have to click the link to find out

I know it was a while ago but that is ridiculous.

It's a tiny bit expensive... but I know they had to pay a nice lump to get the domain in the first place. The real question is, can the new buyers make their money back in a decent time period... and then make profits.

That is a big load of dough... If I spent that much money on a domain I would have had at least a million to spend on content and would be paying a few people to pump up that skimpy forum.

UPDATE: Apparently this is a rabid rumor! Mike has responded in a comment below confirming himself that this price is false. He says that no announcement has been made which includes the price of this sale. Inquiring minds want to know Mike!

Why'd someone spend so much on just a domain is beyond my comprehension ... give me a $50 dollar domain and $1 million dollar for content and marketing and i'll outrank these $5 million dollar domains for any given keyword ...

Instant gratification. My guess is the buyer was just a middle-man, and was probably selling the "idea" to someone who had no idea...
