New SEOChat Members: WELCOME!!
PLEASE DO NOT post questions or ask for SEO Advice in this thread. Post in the appropriate forum for your question. Thank you!
A warm welcome to all new SEOChat members. Please feel free to post in this thread and say "hello" if you've just joined.
You'll find that SEOChat members have a wealth of knowledge to share, and cover the spectrum from complete SEO beginners to very experienced professionals.
If you haven't done so already, then please do spend a little time reading the SEOChat SEO FAQs as well as the forum rules. If you've got a question to ask then do check first via the search option to see if it's been asked before -- it'll save you time having to post if it has already been discussed.
There are also a number of stickied threads which answer many of the most commonly asked questions and which even those members with experience can learn from.
Remember, nobody minds you asking questions (that's what the purpose of a forum is for, after all), but please do spend a little time thinking your question through first. Generic "how do I optimise my site", "what is SEO" questions are to vague or too substantial a subject to answer in a single question and help nobody, least of all the person asking. A little reading will introduce the subject matter and help you narrow your questions down to be more specific. Likewise "what's a robots.txt file", "what are backlinks" can easily be answered with a quick search on the forum, or failing that, Google -- if you can't use search functions yourself, how do you expect to understand how to optimise your site for it!?
As usual we ask that you choose descriptive titles and accurately describe your situation when posting. Please read this before posting, it describes what makes a good title and what does not.
One final piece of advice for those about to post advice -- are you absolutely sure you're about to give good advice, or are you just perpetuating rumour and hearsay? Please read ClickyB's advice here before you go near your keyboard!

Welcome to the forums! I had to Google Ben Walton, and so I'm assuming you mean the one from The Waltons. Have to confess to never having seen it so I don't know whether that's a good or a bad thing
