    Major problem, might be SEO problem

    Hey there,

    I've recently changed over a website I'm hosting from CMS Made Simple to Wordpress 2.5.1. I have been working on the SEO for some time now and it was pretty much at the top of the search engine results for major searches, but since the change over and I'm using Wordpress now, the visitor count has dropped by 75% and I think the site is gradually grinding to a holt. The website is about male health so please do not view the site if you are offended easily by the male anatomy.

    I'm willing to pay someone $150 if they can find a cure and figure out why the site has started to fail. I can provide more information about the Google webmasters etc if anyone wishes to attempt to solve the problem. I think the SEO has been done quite well, however please PM me if your interested.

    I cannot post the website url because it is restricted?

    Regards,
    Ryan

    If you have moved from one CMS to another have the URL's of the pages changed?

    If they have, that's your problem. You need to 301 redirect the old URL's to the new URL's.

    If this isn't the case then can you post the URL, post it in the format:

    www dot mydomainname dot com

    Please pay channel5 the $150. He solved your problem.

    Sorry EGOL but that has not solved the problem.

    @channel5,

    Thanks for your reply. I have kept the same permalink structure during the transfer so no perm redirects needed. I have a feeling it could be the page structure that is causing the problem. I have a slightly changed the layout too. I'll PM you the website.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Edit: I can't PM you the details so please can you get in contact with me... ryan [at] bpwc.co.uk
