Just So Amazing

It's Just So Amazing when you are trying so hard to optimize sites and you come along #1 rankers that have a head section that looks like this.......

<html>
<head>
<title>The Website Title</title>
</head>

meta tags are not used by most SE now.. they look for content... but yes, I know what you mean here... makes you wonder how they did it too. I've seen this on sites with little content also!

Yeah, it must be lots of links, or cloaking. If little content, then probably cloaking!

What kills me is that when you do a search for Coffee on Google

(http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=coffee)

you get Starbucks at #1 and it says the following:

Cookies Required
Your browser must accept cookies to use Microsoft® .NET Passport A cookie is a very small text file that a Web site can save to your computer's hard disk to ...

You would think that someone at Starbucks would catch a clue - especially being at #1!
