Java inserts
Hi all,
I have a small java script, which when added to my website, populates content from website X (where I got the script). Is this good, bad, or neutral seo? Cheers, Doug |

Its hard to say without knowing more about it.
Is it an Iframe? Does it doa document.write() of does it modify content already in the page? Testing has shown that Search Engines CAN read some javascript so it can have an effect. In short, a small embeded javascript will not cause any problems. It won't do anything to improve rankings but its unlikely to have a large negative effect. Without knowingmore about the script I would say nuetral to very very slightly negative. |

Run a page with it through a spider simulator to see if the spiders read that content. Then make decision based upon if that content is beneficial to your page.
