    Identifying a bad SEO practice

    Hello All,

This is my first post on this forum. If y'all could help, I am looking for some clarification about a bad SEO practice. This was brought to my attention by a friend of mine that runs a local swimming pool business. He was telling me about a competitors site that was showing up on Yahoo's search engine twice on the front page. I looked into it and this is what I found.

I did a yahoo search for "above ground pools houston"

The search results I am talking about are in the organic listings - rank 2 and 6. Both links point to to the exact page, but have different domain names. Would this be classified as running a "website mirror?"

When I looked a little deeper, the links in questions have bad SEO written all over them. New Domain - No Sitemap - No Links - etc...

Can somebody please help me answer my friends question? I do not believe that this is a simple redirection.

    Thanks for the help guys.

I've seen this before but it never lasts... at least not on Google.

This happens with a site is in the process of being redirected. It occurs on google too. For a short interval of time Google displays both domains.
