How do you "take down" your work?

Say you have achieved first page in google SERPs, and the client has decided to not continue the monthly payments. How do you, essentially, displace them from SERPs? How do you knock them back down?

You were paid to do a task. Let's say you were paid to build a house and were paid. The customer decides to not have you do maintenance or an addition to the structure. Does that mean you can burn down his/her house? Get real and get other customers.

I think I've come up with a solution. I will host and make the SEO monthlys as part of the hosting. If they don't pay I take the site down (as per the agreement).

No wonder the SEO industry has such a bad name when it has low life bottom dwelling unethical scumbags like this one in it.

He is asking a question that tells me he will not be able to get any first page ranks for anything competitive anyway. I think he's a troll.

Reminds me of shops having to pay weekly payments for "protection".

Surely, zulubanshee, if you have something in your contract about obligatory monthly fees, you also have something in there about what will happen if they don't pay up?
