    The Dark Side

Have got the domain the-dark-side.net registered, thinking of selling due to the new Star Wars film out, what do you think it might make?

Also best place to sell? Ebay?
How long does it have to be registered before I can sell it, had it 2 months now.

    Thanks for any ideas...

You sure you don't want to go black hat with that instead of Star Wars?

Even Anakin was a 'whitehat' once

You have a few options for your domain name... I suggest the following:

If you want to sell it:

    - sedo.com
    - afternic.com
    - greatdomains.com <- they might not accept you.

If you are getting lots of traffic, you might want to park it...

    - domainhop.com
    - sedo.com
    - afternic.com

And for general information, check out:

    www.discussnames.com

    I hope this helps.

I dont see it having too much value even with the current star wars in the news.

Use it for what wit said or just spam it to death and make some cash out of it.

I guess if I were to use it for starwars, I would have had the site made 2 months ago. Try to use it for something useful now, if you want to do starwars, create a subsomain or something.

I would say it's a little late in the game to make it worth it for a starwars related site.

It doesn't seem to be too "clever" as domain names go. I'd say you might get a dollar or two on ebay for it - put a $1 reserve on it for a 9 day listing and expect to get your reserve back after 9 or 10 relistings.

As for Star Wars, I think you missed that boat...

star wars stuff has more longevity then you'd think. But you'd need to have traffic to that domain. You could try pushing it to some game-clan kids if you can find any. But it's not going to bring much money.

I am not sure how much your domain could be worth

TheDarkSideOfTheForce.net and StarWars-Movie.com are both still available and so are many reasonably good Star Wars related domain names. Insted of buying a domain second hand for e.g. $300 I would just pay the $8.95 at Godaddy.com for a brand new one.

I wouldn't put any value on it either tooo many dashs and it's a .net . But still it's worth as much as someone will pay for it, it you had the start of a site on it, I think people might pay some more attention.

I dont think dashs are as big a problem any more (especially only one or two). But then again maybe thats just me...
