When I've been blindsided in business with something I didn't know anything about, it sometimes helped to go back to the source. I'd call, write, or email the attorney (call preferably). Let him know that you removed the post, and that it was a post from another source. Ask him what he knows about controlling posts from the outside, which may have objectionable materials. He may offer some insights.
In the past I worked for a firm where the in house lawyers among other functions, were vigilant about trademark infringement. They would write threatening letters to anyone that seemingly infringed on some phrases this company had.
Sometimes the two parties would work out a solutlion that worked for both parties.
Your situation is different in that you are hosting comments from others. You may need to go to a big organization that hosts forums or posts and see how they deal with it.
