cannot open new window while browsing

Just today I started having a problem with clicking on a link on a webpage that opens up a new window...it doesn't work for me anymore. I use windows ME and IE 6. I have all windows updates. Can anyone help me to fix this problem?

Erich

Are you possibly using some sort of popup killer?

Thanks for responding...

I was using the pop-up killer in the google toolbar but uninstalled it and still have the problem...

I have recd the following error message a few times:

Iexplore has caused an error in OLE.32DLL Iexplore will now close

Other than that everything works fine...

to fix that prob, do this;

extract these two and replace in DOS

schannel.dll
oleaut32.dll

register these 4

msscript.ocx (if you get an error with this ocx file, don't worry)
dispex.dll
vbscript.dll
scrrun.dll

After this you are good to go !!!

Cheers
