All About Links
Just a couple questions on how links work..
Losing links
Google spiders a very strong authority site in your niche which you just so happen to of got a link from, this gives you an extra big push up the SERP's..
But then if after a couple of months that link is gone when Google spiders the site, how long does it take for you to drop down the SERP's because that link is no longer there?
NoFollow
Linking out to sites using NoFollow can't hurt you.. but if you have NoFollow links pointing to your site can they hurt you?..
Does google factor in the anchor text from the NoFollow Links (say they are all keywords) into your whole link profile thus making it look unnatural and resulting in being hit by penguin?; even if all your Dofollow links are branded.
^ In the scenario the nofollow links would far out weigh the DoFollow.
Internal Use Of Keyword Anchor Text

thegodfather made an interesting post today where matt cutts ,using the example of a pizza place with a 60 stores in each city, has 60 landing pages for each city is that ok, Matt says yes as long as they have 3 unique sentences.
Now I know putting 60 place names at the bottom of a page is now a nono right? but what if you have a drop down menu of 60 links on everypage saying
"pizza place chicago"
"pizza place orlando"
etc
Would that be a problem? because on everypage you would have a spam of "pizza place city" if you were tying to use keyworded anchor text, or would you have to do it just links with city names... but the would be pretty much the same as just having loads of city names at the bottom of the page just they would be links.
Or would you just have to have one directory page of your city location pages, I guess that would make more sense.. maybe I'm answering myself here on this last one lol.
