ADVICE NEEDED - hide content with robots

Hi All,

I have two sites. Site A provides content to Site B. I want search engines to see and index the content on Site B.

I do not want search engines to see and index content on Site A (because the content is identical and I don't want to damage Site B's search ranking).

I was planning on using the robots.txt metatag to tell searchbots to not index Site A. Will this work to shield the content on Site A from search engines?

What is the potential for Site B to still be greylisted?

Would really appreciate any advice on this!
